ABOUT THE TEST?

The BIOTA test200 combine two tests:

1. Intestinal Microbiota Test

It allows us to assess whether there is any quantitative or qualitative imbalance in our flora., as well as knowing the state of health of our mucosa and the pH (degree of acidity) of the intestinal environment. The study of all these parameters allows for a therapeutic approach to improve intestinal health y, definitely, the general health of each person.

2. Food sensitivity test A200

The proof evaluates the response of the immune system to proteins present in more than 200 common foods in the Mediterranean diet. Thus, You can individually determine which foods can be consumed and which foods should be reduced., avoid or even eliminate from the diet temporarily.

The service includes a video consultation where the results are evaluated and a treatment is prescribed. depending on the situation of each person.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

BIOTA200 is recommended for:

  • People who present non-specific symptoms (bad digestion, gases, abdominal pain, swelling, constipation, diarrhea, fluid retention, etc.)
  • People already diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia or inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease), complementary to medical treatment

 

The food sensitivity test It is not indicated and cannot be performed in people following immunosuppressive treatment..

It is also not recommended for pregnant women., unless your doctor (or another type of specialist who will
track diet) deems appropriate.

No it is recommended to perform the food sensitivity test in children under the age of 8 years. If parents or guardians

PRELIMINARY CONSIDERATIONS

Stool sample (Intestinal Microbiota Test):

  • Do not take antibiotics, probiotics, corticosteroids or antihistamines during the 20 days prior to obtaining the sample
  • If you have undergone radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatments, you should wait at least 4 weeks before obtaining the sample
  • Once the sample is obtained keep at room temperature
  • The sample must delivered to the SYNLAB center during the 24 hours after obtaining

 

Blood sample (A200):

  • It is necessary to go to a SYNLAB center to take the test
  • Fasting required for at least 4 previous hours to take the sample

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?

The test requires a stool and blood sample so you will receive a kit at home and go to a SYNLAB center to take the test so follow the next steps!
  1. Receive a kit with the necessary material to take the sample at home
  2. Take the sample following the instructions and taking into account the Previous Considerations included in the kit
